On-going Japanese Lessons
3 months ago, in August 2023, ERP Tohama Company introduced Japanese lessons for its non-native employees. The initiative, has been going on successfully so far and staff who take the lessons are now able to use simple words and phrases in Japanese language. The first set of the lessons which ended end October, have been introductory based covering basic language understanding like greetings, how to introduce oneself, how to get around as a visitor i.e. to ask for directions, shopping and how to navigate a conversation in a restaurant setting e.g. ordering and paying for meals.
The second set of lessons commenced on 2nd November. Same as the first set, classes run for an hour, twice a week. The lessons are now deeper, where participants are now learning complex conversations with the introduction of Hiragana – which is written Japanese language. Lessons are very interactive as is a requirement for language learning. Participants use an e-book during lessons as well as for self study.
